Michael Vicks Dogs to star in Reality Show..

A new season of a reality show on the National Geographic Channel will follow the rehabilitation of several dogs that were rescued from the Virginia dogfighting operation once headed by football star Michael Vick.

The channel said Monday that it will begin filming Dogtown with a focus on 22 dogs rescued after the arrest of the jailed Atlanta Falcons quarterback.

Dogtown is the name of a Best Friends no-kill animal sanctuary in Utah, where the dogs are cared for in an attempt to resocialize them as pets. The series will focus on four of the toughest cases, all pitbulls.

Dogtown recently launched its first season January 4th. The series is currently in production on the new episodes, which will premiere in the summer.
