All aboard for the Harry Potter rollercoaster

I personally cannot wait.. Florida here I come, yeeee haaaaaaaa

J.K Rowling, who became the world's first billion dollar author on the back of Harry Potter's success, has given the go-ahead for the creation of a
Florida theme park dedicated to the schoolboy wizard.
"The plans I have seen look incredibly exciting and I don't think fans of the books or films will be disappointed," Rowling said of the Orlando park that is scheduled to open in 2009.

The park is a joint venture between Warner Bros Entertainment, whose Potter films have so far grossed more than $3.5 billion worldwide, and Universal Orlando Resort.

In a statement rich in entertainment hyperbole, the builders of "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter" said they planned to "create the world's first immersive Harry Potter themed environment."

Barry Meyer, chairman and CEO of Warner Bros. Entertainment, said: "Over the years we've received thousands of letters from fans around the world wishing they could visit Hogwarts (School) and the wonderful locations described in each of J.K. Rowling's beloved stories."

The park's opening could help to quell the withdrawal symptoms of Potter fans around the globe who have bought 320 million copies of her wizard tales and turned every one of the films into a box office hit.

Pottermania is set to scale new heights in July with the last novel hitting the bookstands and the latest film being launched in a deluge of global publicity.

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," the final installment in her hugely successful series, is being released on July 21.

Rowling is to mark publication with a moonlight reading for fans at London's Natural History Museum.

I'm back...

Ok, so I'm back, it's been a crazy few weeks, aside from work, the events etc, I've also had a lot going on..

If you've ever heard of the saying - cluttered space, cluttered mind, which I was actually OK with because that's the way it had to be. But, after last week I came to the conclusion why should I appreciate people, who don't appreciate me??... Not to go into too many details, it's a new day and the I've totally X'd the whole episode from my memory never to be dealt with, thought of or spoken of again. As I always say, everything happens for a reason, and many things we need to take in our stride and see as life lessons.

Did a huge smudging of my place today and I feel like a new person, it's like a huge weight literally got up and walked out the door. It's a wonderful experience and I suggest EVERYBODY should do it at least once.

For those thinking 'what the hell is she talking about???' check out SMUDGING for more info.

Anyway, stay tuned for news, news and more news.

Remembering Yolanda King

Yolanda King, the eldest child of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., collapsed and died after making a speech late Tuesday in Santa Monica, Calif., a spokesman for the King Center told the Associated Press. She was 51.

According to former Mayor Andrew Young, who worked with her father in the civil rights movement and is a close family friend, King had just spoken at an event for the American Heart Association. She was helping the association raise awareness, especially among blacks, about stroke.

King, who lived in California, was headed to her brother Dexter's home when she collapsed in the doorway and "they were not able to revive her," said Young. Her death comes less than a year and a half after her mother, Coretta Scott King, died in January 2006.

Dunst's crazy idea's for Spiderman 4 and breaking records..

Spiderman star Kirsten Dunst is keen to get started on the fourth installment of the cartoon superhero - and already has a radical storyline of her own planned out.

Both Dunst and her co-star Tobey Maguire have expressed their interest in making another Spider-Man movie with director Sam Raimi, but only if the script is right.

And while the latest movie continues to smash box office records worldwide, Dunst reckons her character Mary Jane should have a crazy plotline for the web-slinging hero's next outing. She says, "I think in Spider-Man 4 (Mary Jane) should have eight babies, like a spider would!"

The film has taken approximately $148 million in domestic ticket sales in its opening weekend, including $59 million when it opened on Friday. This will probably be waaaaaay more by tomorrow, considering I'm about to go and see it now LOL

Hasn't done badly internationally either - it's apparently taken $227 million in 105 foreign countries.
